Founded in 1983 by Geert Bruloot and Eddy Michiels as a designer shoe-store, Coccodrillo has always looked forward, embracing creativity and singular voices. Martin Margiela was one of the first designers championed by the boutique, emphasizing its visionary eye and risk-taking approach.
The founders have enjoyed privileged relationships with key luxury brands since then, such as Prada, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Dries Van Noten, Raf Simons, Church’s or Maison Margiela. The 2017 move to Arenbergstraat, a quiet and residential street in antwerp’s theaterbuurt, is highly symbolic, reframing quality and outstanding service within contemporary settings.
Addressing the needs of a new clientèle, keen on great experiences, Coccodrillo places craft and fashion at the core of their raison d’être.
A repair atelier allows customers to get their beloved shoes reshaped, while private workshops organized by selected brands insist on sharing aspects of real luxury.
